Information About Clubs, Choices, Selection Process & More!
🏕️ What Are “Clubs” at SSDC?
At Southampton Summer Day Camp, Club periods give campers the opportunity to dive deeper into activities they love, explore new interests, and build skills in a fun, supportive environment. Clubs are a special part of the week where campers choose their own adventure—led by passionate instructors and specialists who bring each subject to life.
Clubs are designed to promote camper choice, creativity, and personal growth, and they’re one of the many ways SSDC fosters confidence, independence, and excitement in every age group.
💫 How It Works:

Junior Campers will participate in two Clubs, each meeting twice per week.

Senior & Varsity Campers will select four Clubs, each meeting once per week.

Some specialty Clubs meet more often:

Performing Arts (Dance or Musical Theatre) meets twice per week, culminating in a special end-of-summer performance.

Chef’s Table 1459, our advanced cooking Club, also meets twice per week for those ready to hone their culinary skills with a professional touch.

🎨 A Mix of Favorites & Fresh Experiences:
Some Club options are also offered as part of the regular daily schedule, giving campers a chance to do more of what they already know and love.
Other Clubs are available only during Club periods, giving campers the exciting opportunity to try something new and broaden their camp experience.
In the Club Selection Overview, you’ll see an asterisk (*) next to Club options that are unique to Club time only—helping families easily spot new experiences.
📋 Club Preference Survey:
To help us build the best possible schedule for your camper, we ask that families review Club options together and complete the Club Preference Survey by June 1.
Clubs will be assigned based on interest and availability, so please rank choices in order of excitement!
